Collingwood United Soccer Club
Originally founded over 30 years ago as the Collingwood Optimist Youth Soccer Club, the Collingwood United Soccer Club (CUSC) has grown to be the largest sport organization in the Town of Collingwood. With the resurgence of outdoor activities over the past few years, demand for soccer has grown significantly. In 2023, we had 1200+ athletes participate through our various programs and leagues, from ages 3 to 73, and amounting to 78 youth house league teams, 10 competitive teams and 12 adult teams. Soccer is alive and kicking in Collingwood.
Our youth programs focus on skill development and fun, with an emphasis on teamwork and sportsmanship. Our adult house league provides a friendly and social atmosphere for players of all skill levels. Our development programs offer more intensive training and coaching for players looking to improve their skills, while our competitive teams are designed for players who want to compete at the highest levels.
At CUSC, we believe that everyone has the potential to become a great player, and we are committed to helping each and every one of our members reach their full potential. However, our ability to do so is significantly hindered by the limited outdoor season and the lack of appropriate indoor facilities to continue training and development during the off-season period.
A multi-use facility would allow CUSC to provide soccer programming (recreational leagues, clinics, skill development, training, etc.) on a year-round basis, thus meeting demands for the sport and providing increased opportunity for advancement at all ages.
